Masks in psp

I woke up at 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I decided to play with paint shop pro. I have never messed around with the "masks" function so tried that and this is what I came up with. I can see where this would require a lot of learning to get the mask around the part of the picture that you want. May have to play with this some more. Oh, yes. That is a picture of my daughter holding a baby opossum I found in my front yard after a big storm.

These are the blocks I have made so far from the block of the month project at Victoriana Quilts. I wanted to do it to improve my embroidery stitches. My stitches aren't up to par with most I have seen. These little crazy quilted hexes were fun to do, and hopefully my stitching will improve as I go. Here is a link to Victoriana quilts.

New Header

Here is a picture of a stitchery I finished last night. Aren't they cute?

I finished another header this morning. What do you think? I can't decide if I like it or not. Is it cute, or is it tacky. I still can't find out how to fix the problem of not being able to make comments on a new post. Oh, well. I will figure it out someday, and if I don't it won't be the end of the world.

How to waste a day

I know I used this one up trying to figure out how to some things on this blog! I made a new header and spent the rest of the day figuring out how to edit the html of my template so I could add a background. Did that but then it went all over the page, so then I had to go find how to fix that. Then, of course, I had to change all the colors that I had been using. They didn't match at all. I am satisfied with how it looks now. I will probably change it again. I can never leave well enough alone.

Today I am posting pictures of another BOM that I am doing. It is so darn cute! I love the way it is put together. I didn't buy any new fabrics to make this, so mine will not be just like the one on the blog where I got the pattern. My sister is also making this project. It will be interesting to see how hers will differ from mine. I am really looking forward to May to see the new block and get started on it. The blog where you can find the patterns is in German. I don't read or speak German, so that has been a bit of trouble for me. I had to find different herbs to use in the April block because I wanted the names of mine to be in English. It took me quite some time just to find the links to the pdf files for the blocks! Here is a link to the blog if you would like to see it.

Learning how to add a picture

Today I am going to try to add a picture to a post. The picture is of the 2 first blocks of the free embroidery block of the month from Lynette Anderson's blog called Noah's Ark. I think it is so cute. Teeny tiny little blocks. I am not cutting the blocks from my fabric until I have them all done. I had a reason for this, but I can't remember what it was. Oh, Yes. It was so that I could keep up with just one piece of fabric instead of risking losing one of the tiny blocks amid the mess that is my sewing area.

Learning How to Blog

Here we go! I am probably to old to learn how to blog. Most of my brain cells are full of other useless information. Guess I should have been more selective with what I chose to remember.
